Hi, I'm Even Høie — a solo developer from Norway who saw a negative trend in the dating market that nobody seemed to be addressing. I thought to myself: maybe I can do something about it.

So I started creating Hearthly in my spare time. The intention has always been to connect people who are genuinely a good match — people who can have meaningful conversations about topics that are often considered "off limits" for far too long in traditional dating.

My goal is to reduce the time people spend in apps, swiping endlessly, and to take some of the superficial focus away from dating. I want to give a fair chance to the person you might have swiped no to on other apps, because they could actually be a really good match for you.
