Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help us recognize you, remember your preferences, and improve your experience on Hearthly.

How We Use Cookies

Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled:

  • Authentication: Keep you logged into your account
  • Security: Protect against fraud and unauthorized access
  • Session Management: Remember your actions during a browsing session

Storage for chosen preferences

When you choose a language, theme, or filter, Hearthly stores that choice to provide the setting you requested:

  • Preferences: Stored when you change the relevant setting

Optional analytics (not active)

Hearthly currently does not collect optional page-view, marketing, or performance analytics. This tracking will remain off until we can ask for your consent first.

  • Page views and feature usage: Not collected
  • Performance measurements: Not collected
  • A/B testing: Not active

Third-Party Cookies

The services below may set their own cookies when the related feature is available:

  • Supabase: Authentication and database services
  • Vercel: Hosting and performance optimization
  • Payment processing: If the payment service is approved and activated, we plan to use Vipps MobilePay. While checkout is closed, Hearthly does not set Vipps cookies. If payments open and you continue to a Vipps payment page, Vipps MobilePay may use necessary cookies and similar technology on its own services.

Active third-party services have their own privacy and cookie policies. You will see the payment provider before confirming a purchase.

How to manage cookies

Essential storage is used so Hearthly can work. Optional analytics is not active.

In Your Browser

Most browsers allow you to manage cookie settings. You can:

  • Block all cookies (though this may break website functionality)
  • Block third-party cookies only
  • Delete cookies after each session
  • View and delete specific cookies

Optional analytics in Hearthly

Hearthly currently has no optional analytics cookies or equivalent tracking. If we introduce this later, we will ask for consent before collecting data and provide a clear way to change your choice.

Cookie Duration

  • Session Cookies: Information in session storage is normally removed when the tab or browser session ends
  • Persistent Cookies: Essential sign-in data and preferences remain until you sign out, delete them, or a defined expiry is reached. Hearthly does not create persistent storage for optional analytics

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
